1 Q: Are the Triton tricycle bikes kids bicycles or for adults?
A: Tritons are three wheel bicycles intended for both children and as recumbent bicycles for adults. A Triton is very strong and has a unique adjustable frame to suit many different size and heights of riders. See also FAQs 6 and 11. Click here for close-up view of adjustable frame.

2 Q: Does the Triton or Triton Pro require assembly?
A: If you purchase a Triton or Triton Pro in the UK, you will need to assemble it. This takes around 30 minutes or so if you follow the instructions closely. All the tools you need come with the bike. Click here for a picture of what exactly comes in the package.

3 Q: If the Triton or Triton Pro only has one speed, does that mean I can not shift gears to make it easier to ride up hills?
A: Triton and Triton Pro are both a single speed bike designed for riding on flat bike path, parks, and other non-hilly areas. Because neither Triton model has a gearing mechanism, it will take extra effort to ride up hills.

4 Q: How fast can the Triton or Triton Pro go?
  A: Approximately 5 to10 MPH.

5 Q: Can I ride the Triton or Triton Pro around town or is it just for the beach?
A: Although it is perfectly legal to ride the Triton on the street, they have not been designed for riding on the street in normal traffic, and we do not recommend that you do. Triton three wheel bikes were designed for riding on bike paths, beach proms, pavements where cycling is permitted, and places that are safe with little to no traffic. For kids, Triton bikes are a great substitute for pedal go karts and beach cruiser bikes, as well as being an adult tricycle.

6 Q: What are the weight limitations of Triton and Triton Pro riders?

A: The Triton Pro’s weight capacity is 250 lbs and Triton’s weight capacity is 220 lbs.

7 Q: What are the wheel sizes for both the Triton and Triton Pro? Can you find inner tubes from regular bike shops?

A: The Triton Pro front wheel is 20" and its rear wheel is 16". The smaller Triton front wheel is 16" with a rear wheel size of 12". We call the Triton a ‘big wheel tricycle’. The tyres and tubes used for the Triton Pro are standard products and can be purchased from bike shops. Please contact worthydeal@3wheelcruiser.org.uk if you need more information about parts.

8 Q: Are there any Triton brand accessories that I can use with my Triton?
A: Yes. Please contact worthydeal@3wheelcruiser.org.uk for information on Triton brand accessories, including cup holders, storage baskets, custom warning flags, custom tyres, seat backs, decal collections, bells and other exciting accessories.

9 Q: Can the Triton be used by disabled riders?

A: Many disabled riders who cannot ride or find it difficult to ride traditional bicycles enjoy Triton cruisers as they are a recumbent bicycle. However, Triton bicycles are not for all disabled riders. Consult your doctor as to whether or not riding a Triton will be safe or advisable.

10 Q: Do I need to wear a helmet when riding the Triton or Triton Pro?

A: While it is not compulsory under current UK law for anybody to have a wear a cycle helmet at any time, for your safety, we do highly recommend that all riders wear a helmet when riding a Triton or Triton Pro.

11 Q: How do I decide which model is best for me?

A: The Triton is designed for users within the height range of 3 feet to 5 feet 8 in. tall and can support riders that weigh up to 220 lbs. The Triton Pro is designed for users within the height range of 4 feet to 6 feet 3 in. & can support riders that weigh up to 250 lbs.

12 Q: My Triton bicycle feels tight and rough when turning around. Can I fix this?

A: As the Triton and Triton Pro frame is extended, the turning radius increases. For tighter and sharper turns, shorten the frame. For smooth, wide turns, lengthen the frame.

13 Q: Will the Triton fit in my car?

A: Yes, Triton bicycles will fit into some car boots or back seats without removing parts or shortening the length of the bicycle frame.

14 Q: Are Triton products new in the bicycle market?

A: The Triton product line was launched in October 2006 in the USA. Prior to that date, for three years Triton bicycles were researched and developed for optimal use and quality.  They became available in the UK in 2008.

14 Q: Where can I buy a Triton?
