OK, this page is just for the Grown-Ups. Let’s forget about the kids now. Maybe they’ve left home, or you’re just a big kid yourself, and you’re thinking about the Triton just for yourself. Well… that’s OK. There’s nothing wrong with being a big kid. Anyway, why should the real kids have all the fun? And there are many sound reasons why a Triton is as much an adult’s bike as a kid’s.
Even if you’re all grown up and don’t have kids yet, or the kids have left home, a Triton Cruiser-style recumbent bicycle is still for you! Recumbent trikes are currently all the rage. 3 wheel bikes like this score so highly on the fun factor, we know folks in their 20s, 30s, 40s - and beyond - who just love Triton bicycles. An adult tricycle like this is just a great way to get out and enjoy the day - so easy to manoeuvre, and so comfortable.
What a lot of people really appreciate about the Triton is precisely that it is different to a conventional bike - you don’t sit up tight on a Triton, you r-e-c-l-i-n-e (a feature of recumbent bicycles in general, we find!). But joking aside, it’s so smooth, so nice, and really, really relaxing - a great way to enjoy a good day.
People tell us that Triton tricycle bikes have all of the qualities expected of a leisure-use bike, including the comfort factor, a smooth ride, and easy maintenance. We also think it’s the unique steering mechanism on the Triton three wheel bicycle that makes getting around not only easy, but fun! Even grown-ups smile when they get on a Triton, we have found.
The adjustable frame is definitely one of the really big ‘plus’ factors going for this bike - it means riding the Triton is comfortable for riders of various heights and sizes. You don’t have to be one specific size to ride a Triton, or have to worry about what size of Triton to get (other than choose between the 20-inch or the 16-inch, which is pretty easy, just take a look here).

And its not just for kids! You can make this big wheel tricycle as grown-up as you are. One businessman we know added an MP3 holder, Blackberry holder, headlight, taller flag, and seat cushion to his Triton recumbent bike - oh, and he attached a bag to the back of the seat, along with a deep-tread front tyre to be able to climb steeper hills (the Triton is a single speed bike). He says "This is a great workout and just plain fun to ride".
As this gentleman remarked, the Triton can bring you a lot of fitness benefits. It’s a lot more fun than, say, jogging. If you don’t believe us, you can try our Triton vs. Jogging Fitness Challenge. Run one lap, or a quarter mile, then record your heart rate. Then ride a Triton over the same distance. At the end, you’ll find your heart rate after riding the Triton puts you in the same target heart rate zone for both activities but the Triton is a lot more fun.
